Baking Soda Scrub & Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse...Natural Clarifiers

Baking Soda Scrub and Apple Cider Vinegar Rinses can be used as natural clarifiers. Baking soda scrubs can also be used to open up the cuticle in low porosity hair, or close the holes in high porosity hair. Whenever a baking soda scrub is done, it MUST be followed by an ACV rinse to get the hair's PH back to normal. Here are the recipes:

Baking Soda Scrub:

1 Tsb of baking soda
1 palm full of co-wash conditioner
Scrub this mixture on your scalp as you would when co-washing. You can also put it through the length of your hair.

ACV Rinse:

1 Tbs Vinegar mixed into 2 cups of cool water.
Can be used after a Baking Soda Scrub (a must), OR on its own after a deep treatment to close the cuticles. You take the ACV Rinse and you pour it down your hair. You can scrub your scalp for 30 seconds if being used as a clarifier. A lot of curlies don't rinse afterwards, but I prefer to rinse for a few seconds with cool water after.
